Nice Ride makes bike-sharing easy and convenient, creating a more active Twin Cities.

The Center for Prevention wants Minnesota communities to be places where it’s natural for people to walk or hop on a bike to get around. As part of the Center’s vision to change the way Minnesotans perceive transportation, in 2009 we became the title sponsor of Nice Ride Minnesota, the first bike-sharing program in the state. Now the active system boasts more than 3,000 bikes and 400 stations.

Nice Ride Minnesota expanded to include other initiatives:

  • Nice Ride Neighborhood — pioneering new strategies to make biking part of people’s everyday lives in Twin Cities neighborhoods with lower Nice Ride ridership and where people are less likely to own a bicycle.
  • Nice Ride Bemidji — an experiment in bringing a bike-share program to cities and towns in Greater Minnesota.
