Caring for Elders During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Elders are especially vulnerable to the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19). Adults 60 and older, especially those with underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, cancer, or heart disease are more likely to have severe complications and require hospitalization.

A lot of us are struggling with how to best care for and protect our loved ones during this unprecedented time. As new social distancing and shelter in place policies are being put in affect, there can be confusion on the best actions to take. At the Center for Prevention, we are here to help!

Here are some simple steps that we can all take to ensure the health, safety and protection of our elders. In times like this, it is imperative that we come together to protect our loved ones, families and communities.
